RC Pro 2: 4G now activates without the launcher (verification in progress)
Until now, using 4G on the RC Pro 2 meant patching the controller firmware through the launcher. We have succeeded in activating 4G directly, without that step, and we are now re-verifying the feature. Once this work is complete, we expect it to clear up several long-standing inconveniences at once, including the hassle of the launcher and the case where 4G would not work with the Mini 5 on the RC Pro 2.
Some good news first. Until now, activating 4G on the RC Pro 2 required patching the controller firmware through the launcher. We have now succeeded in activating 4G directly, without that step. This is not a release yet. We are re-verifying that it runs reliably in real flight conditions, held to the same standard we apply to everything we ship, and we will not release it before that verification is done. We do not promise dates we cannot keep. As soon as it is ready, we will post the release details here. Once this work is complete, we expect several long-standing inconveniences to be resolved together. The tedious step of patching firmware through the launcher goes away. We also expect it to clear up the case where 4G would not work with the Mini 5 on the RC Pro 2, along with other limitations that came from the firmware patch itself. This progress follows the direction we shared in our recent pricing update. The price of the full license, which includes 4G, is not a simple increase. It is a foothold for building the very best features for the specialists who take their drones seriously. Just as with activating 4G without the launcher, we will keep finding more refined and specialized activation logic and bringing it into the service. This is how we intend to earn the price we ask, one step at a time. Thank you, as always, to everyone who trusts us and waits. RC-N series (including RC-N3) support: progress update
For the RC-N series controllers that pair with your phone, the iOS version is finished and we are working out the most efficient way to get it onto your device. The Android version already works, but it does not yet deliver the same experience as iOS, so we are preparing a fix. We will post the release details here as soon as they are ready.
Many of you have asked about the RC-N series controllers, the ones you use with your phone attached, including the RC-N3. We want to share where that support currently stands, honestly. iOS: development is complete. On our own devices it applies FCC cleanly and behaves the way it should. The one piece left is distribution. Because this kind of app does not go through the regular App Store, we are making sure the way you install it on your iPhone is as simple and reliable as possible, rather than shipping something awkward. We are finalizing that path now. Android: it works, but not yet at the same level as iOS. A platform difference on Android keeps the experience below what we are willing to call finished, so instead of releasing it as-is, we are working on a fix that brings it in line with the iOS version. We are not going to give a date we cannot keep. What we can promise is that we will not ship either version until it meets the standard we hold for everything else we release, and we will update this page the moment each one is ready. Pricing policy change notice
We have upheld our low-price policy and all-in-one approach, but ongoing attacks and unauthorized copying have forced us to end the low-price policy. We are adjusting the price to 59 dollars and repositioning the service for drone specialists. We are also launching a 39-dollar Lite version for those who only need FCC features, and going forward, new features will be provided retroactively to users verified through a review process.
For all this time, we have kept our prices low so that even one more person could use our service without feeling burdened. We have also insisted on an all-in-one approach, offering FCC, 4G, and dongle features together rather than selling them separately. Our purpose was to make hidden features as easy and convenient to use as possible. However, attacks targeting the technology and paid database we spent so much time and effort building, along with attempts to copy them without authorization, have become relentless in recent months. We have concluded that under these circumstances, we cannot continue development and operations while maintaining the low-price policy. For that reason, we have decided to end the low-price policy. We are adjusting the price to 59 dollars, and from now on, instead of selling cheaply and broadly, we will move forward as a service for specialists who take drones seriously. That said, for Lite users who only need FCC features, we will also launch a Lite version available at the existing price of 39 dollars. In addition, features added from now on will be provided retroactively to users verified through a review process. We will establish criteria for identifying legitimate users based on the usage records stored on our servers and conduct reviews according to those criteria. This direction is intended to protect our technology from unauthorized copying and attacks, and to provide more stable and focused support to those who work seriously with drones. As the price increases, we will make sure it is worth it. We will repay your trust with stability proven in real-world flight, rapid support for new models, and unwavering technical support. We sincerely thank everyone who has trusted us and stayed with us, and we will continue to live up to that trust.

4G usable regardless of dongle status, plus more updates
4G support has expanded. On the RC Pro 2, for patch-capable aircraft, 4G works whenever the SIM is active regardless of the dongle; the RC2 works standalone with no patch; and the RC Pro is confirmed working on the Mavic 3. We have also added a new button to record the aircraft's serial number manually. We also share an honest note about the recent attacks on our paid database.
First, some good news. On the RC Pro 2, for aircraft that can use 4G through a firmware patch, we have finished building support so that 4G works whenever the SIM is active, regardless of the dongle's state. The RC2 now works with 4G on its own, with no separate patch, and we have confirmed that the RC Pro works on the Mavic 3. There is also an important change for using the features. Until now, the aircraft's serial number was recorded only through automatic collection, and when that collection occasionally failed due to lag or similar issues, it interfered with using the features. So we have added a new button that lets you collect the serial number manually. The features work properly only when the aircraft's correct serial number is recorded there, so whenever automatic collection does not work, please use the manual collection button. We also want to share something a little heavier. Our paid database, which we built over a long time and with great effort, has recently been the target of ongoing attacks. If these attacks continue and eventually succeed in stealing that database, it will become genuinely hard for us to keep investing the time and money that new features require. This weighs on us a great deal. We could split FCC, 4G, and dongle features apart and sell each separately. But then anyone who needs several features would have to turn on and set up each one individually. That runs against the very purpose of our service, which is to let you use hidden features as easily as possible. We believe many of you understand this goal of ours. Always-on 4G is ready: release paused while we strengthen security
The technology that keeps 4G always available on Dongle 1 and Dongle 2, regardless of subscription and as long as the SIM is active, is finished. Its release is delayed by a recent attack targeting OpenFCC's paid license features, and updates are paused until that is resolved. Our team is working hard on the security measures.

Until now the RC 2 supported the FCC feature only, but starting with this update you can use 4G on it as well. Second, we improved the overall 4G experience. 4G now holds more reliably even where the signal is weak, and the brief video freezes some users noticed during flight are reduced. The DJI RC 2 is now supported. We have adopted the microSD-card install method that many users already use, with a step-by-step guide and downloads, and we will keep making it simpler. (4G is not available on the RC 2.)

Hello everyone, Today we solved the 4G region restriction that had been locked on the latest firmware, and we confirmed that it is technically usable in practice. We are currently running stabilization tests on the feature. If we rebuild and ship it as an APK, we expect it could go live as soon as within a week. Internally we are deciding whether to run the existing FCC service and the 4G service separately, or to combine them into a single service. The regions that need FCC and the regions that need 4G are fairly clearly divided, so we feel the service structure deserves a careful decision. As a business that has to keep this service running for the long term, we will choose the most reasonable direction with both operational stability and user convenience in mind.
