FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before buying.
What exactly does OpenFCC do?
It configures your DJI aircraft's radio region to FCC, which allows higher transmission power and therefore stronger signal and longer range than the CE region used in some areas.
Is this legal where I live?
RF power limits differ by country. Operating at FCC power may not be permitted in your region (for example, much of the EU follows CE/ETSI limits). OpenFCC is a configuration tool; you are solely responsible for using it only where it is legal, such as in permitted regions or on closed courses.
Why is the license tied to my drone and not my phone?
Each license slot binds to your aircraft's serial number. That means you can switch or reinstall your phone freely, and one purchase cleanly covers one drone.
Can I use one license on multiple drones?
Each slot covers one aircraft. If you have several drones, buy the matching number of slots. You can release a slot from one drone and move it to another within the app.
Does it need an internet connection?
Only once, to activate. After that the license is verified on-device, so the region switch works offline.
How is it delivered?
Instantly. After payment you get a download link for the APK and your license key by email, and on the confirmation page.
Why isn't it on the Google Play Store?
OpenFCC is distributed directly as an APK (sideload). You install it yourself; this is normal for tools of this kind.
What's your refund policy?
Because it's an instantly delivered digital product, sales are generally final. Please confirm your drone is supported before buying. See the Refund Policy for details.
